Project Boat Continues Legacy of Logan: An open letter from Mike Kushner of TACO Metals

The TACO Marine Project Boat represents a full transformation of a tired 28-year-old boat into a brand new, custom beauty – showcasing the latest and greatest products from TACO and dozens of other leading marine product manufacturers. Yet this industry-wide collaboration represents so much more than just a great remodeling venture – it also represents hope, caring for others, giving back and continuing the legacy of an amazing young man.

logan kushnerProject Boat began more than two years ago as a bold idea to raise money for charity – specifically, the I’M LOGAN IT Foundation, which provides support to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and scholarships to deserving students.

I’M LOGAN IT was created in memory of Logan Matthew Kushner, who passed away in 2012. Logan left behind a legacy dedicated to education, team sports and helping others.

Logan never knew a stranger. His most important qualities were caring about people and positively impacting the lives of others. His smiles, hugs and enthusiasm for life were genuine. Logan is dearly missed.

As a 59-year-old business founded on family principles, TACO has always strived to develop more than just business agreements with our customers, but rather long-standing relationships and friendships – values Logan emulated throughout his life.

All proceeds from every Project Boat raffle ticket donation are given to the I’M LOGAN IT Foundation – helping kids in need and striving to make a positive impact in the lives of others. The Foundation’s goal is to remind us to always give 150 percent effort in everything we do and to always be there to lend a hand to those in need – just like Logan did.

THANK YOU FOR VISITING THE TACO MARINE PROJECT BOAT AT THE TAMPA BOAT SHOW

From all of us at TACO Marine, thank you for supporting the Project Boat Raffle Fundraiser during the Tampa Boat Show! Many attendees not only bought raffle tickets, but got to see and explore Project Boat in-person and learn about the I’M LOGAN IT Foundation.

Captain Fear and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers cheerleaders stopped by the TACO Marine Project Boat Saturday, Oct. 14, 2017 at the Tampa Boat Show.

All of the raffle ticket proceeds are given to the I’M LOGAN IT Foundation, which provides support to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and college scholarships to deserving students.

I’M LOGAN IT was created in memory of Logan Matthew Kushner, who passed away in 2012. The Foundation aims to help young people establish healthier self-esteem through acts of kindness and mentorship – values by which Logan lived.

Raffle tickets for the completely remodeled 1989 Pursuit 2650 powerboat will be available for sale at the Tampa Boat Show, with proceeds benefiting the I’M LOGAN IT Foundation. TACO Marine’s Project Boat is a completely remodeled a 1989 Pursuit 2650 powerboat to 2017 standards with innovative products from TACO Marine and more than 40 of the industry’s leading equipment and accessories suppliers. Project Boat is worth more than $150,000!

TACO Marine® Project Boat Raffle Fundraiser, sponsored by TACO Metals® and currently featured on Ship Shape TV, involves a full renovation of a 28-year-old Pursuit 2650 powerboat worth more than $150,000. The boat will be displayed at the Progressive® Insurance Tampa Boat Show, booth R112, at the Tampa Convention Center October 13-15. Show attendees can purchase raffle tickets in-person or online at go.rallyup.com/projectboat for a drawing taking place November 5 at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. The winner does not need to be present to win. Tickets are $40 each or three for $100, and all proceeds benefit the I’M LOGAN IT Foundation.
